Dulera inhalers
Dulera inhaler is a combination asthma medicine that helps keep airways open and reduce inflammation. It combines an inhaled steroid (mometasone) with a long-acting beta agonist (formoterol). The medication works by calming swelling inside the lungs while helping the airway muscles stay relaxed, making breathing easier.
Dulera is usually taken daily to prevent asthma symptoms from returning and improve long-term breathing control. It should not be used as a rescue inhaler for sudden breathing problems. Always use Dulera according to a healthcare professional’s instructions and rinse your mouth after use to help prevent irritation .
Dulera is a prescription inhaler used to help control and prevent symptoms of asthma. It contains two active ingredients: mometasone furoate, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the airways, and formoterol fumarate, a long-acting bronchodilator that helps relax airway muscles and improve breathing.
Dulera is used regularly to maintain better asthma control and reduce wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath. It is not designed for sudden asthma attacks. Patients should use it exactly as prescribed and follow proper inhaler technique for the best results.
How to use Dulera inhaler
Dulera inhaler is used by breathing the medicine directly into the lungs. Before using it, shake the inhaler well and remove the cap. Breathe out fully, place the mouthpiece in your mouth, and press the canister while taking a slow, deep breath. Hold your breath for a few seconds, then breathe out slowly. Use Dulera exactly as prescribed, usually on a regular schedule rather than only when symptoms appear. After each use, rinse your mouth with water and spit it out to help reduce the chance of mouth irritation or fungal infection.
To use Dulera, prepare the inhaler as directed and shake it before each dose. Sit or stand upright, breathe out away from the inhaler, then seal your lips around the mouthpiece. Press the inhaler and inhale slowly and deeply at the same time. Hold the breath briefly to allow the medicine to reach the airways. Take the number of puffs prescribed by your doctor.
Dulera is a maintenance inhaler for asthma control and should not replace a fast-acting rescue inhaler during sudden asthma attacks. Follow your healthcare provider’s instructions for proper use.
